What is Bedwetting (Nocturnal Enuresis)
Bedwetting, or nocturnal enuresis, is the involuntary leakage of urine during sleep. It is common in children and may result from a variety of factors, including delayed bladder development, hormonal imbalances, constipation or underlying medical conditions. Most children outgrow bedwetting on their own. However, persistent bedwetting can be addressed with behavioural strategies, medical treatment, and supportive interventions to improve sleep and bladder control.
