What is Constipation
Constipation is very common among children. It is characterised by infrequent, difficult, or painful bowel movements, often with hard, dry stool. It is usually caused by factors such as inadequate fibre intake, dehydration, or a sedentary lifestyle. Managing constipation typically involves increasing their fibre and fluid intake, encouraging regular exercise, and sometimes medications or laxatives.
