Eczema is a common skin condition in children characterised by inflammation, redness, and itching. It often appears as dry, scaly patches on the skin, which can become swollen and blistered. WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE
Eczema can come in many forms. However, common symptoms can include:
Dry, itchy skin
Skin may be crusty, scaly, flaky or inflamed (redness)
Skin patches may ooze fluid and crust over
Skin turning thick and leathery with time
Excessive scratching leading to permanent scars
