What is Tonsillitis
Tonsillitis is the inflammation of the tonsils, usually caused by viral or bacterial infections. It is common in children and can lead to discomfort and difficulty swallowing. Treatment often includes rest, fluids, and antibiotics if bacteria are the cause. In severe or recurrent cases, surgical removal of the tonsils may be considered.
