What is Urinary Tract Infection
A urinary tract infection (UTI) in children is a bacterial infection of the urinary system, affecting areas like the bladder, kidneys and urethra. This condition is quite common in childhood, especially in girls. It can cause discomfort and pain, and if left untreated, it can lead to a more serious kidney infection. UTIs are usually treated with antibiotics to clear the infection.
