Our PICU is supported by a team of highly trained healthcare professionals from various subspecialties who collaborate to provide comprehensive care.

Family-Centred Care
Family-centred care is a fundamental principle in our hospital’s paediatric critical care. It recognises the importance of involving families in the care of their child and emphasises open communication, shared decision-making, and emotional support for both the patient and their family members. Families are actively involved in discussions regarding the child's treatment plan and encourage their participation in ward rounds. Additionally, we understand the importance of parental presence and support, which is why we allow parents to sleep in with their child, providing comfort and reassurance during challenging times.

Pain Management
Our PICU employs a multifaceted approach to pain management that is tailored to each child's specific needs and medical condition. This may include the use of pharmacological interventions, such as pain medications, as well as non-pharmacological such as distraction, relaxation techniques, and positioning techniques to help alleviate pain and discomfort. Additionally, we use advanced pain monitoring systems to ensure optimal comfort and well-being throughout their stay.
